Summary - The chairs found burning inside burning oildrums have their own light-shaft effect, even when outside the barrel. Doesn't look quite right.
Category - Art Reproducibility - 100% Description - When you come across a burning oildrum with the burning chairs inside on the map, you can walk into it or throw grenades at it to knock the chairs out of it. These chairs continue to glow with a very large light shaft effect as if they were still inside the oildrum burning furiously. The oildrum still retains its own light-shaft effect. Image for refference: Just need to make the chairs stay inside the oildrum, or remove the lightshaft effects from them. |

Well, or remove the lightshafts from the chairs. Arent 3 separate lightshaft effects a little overkill for one burning barrel? I mean that kinda stuff eats performance, right?

It's a post processing effect, it affects the whole screen. It takes pixels that are above certain brightness on the screen, applies radial blur to them with the origin being the point light location on the screen. It also masks it somehow using scene depth but I don't know about that stuff :P
