Default BF2 Crashing to desktop

Hello!
I have problem with my Battlefield2. I recently changed my old ATI 9800 PRO to nVidia 6600 GT. Before I changed my Video card, it worked fine. Now, when I start BF2 screen turns black and then it crashes to desktop. I tried to reinstall. I have latest drivers for my 6600 GT. I even tried the old drivers that came with BF2 disc. It did not work. Could someone help me on this? I'd like to get this working.

Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 +3400
nVidia Geforce 6600 with latest drivers
1,5 GB of RAM.

Thanks

Did you completely uninstall the ATI drivers?

If you change gfx card you must COMPLETELY remove old drivers. Just uninstall isn't ennough. There are tools around like drivercleaner http://www.drivercleaner.net/.

I went from Radeon 9200 to GeForce 6600 and simply uninstalled with the program remover in the control panel. Worked for me.

Same thing I described in my first post, Black screen and Crash to desktop. I updated all my drivers and deleted completely old ones but did not work. Guess I try once more to reinstall and if it does not work, then I am going to go rant for EA.

You're not running any internet security software, like Norton IS (actually, that one in particular... it really sucks), are you?

I wound up uninstalling Norton because it screwed with BF2 (and every other game, for that matter) too much. A friend of mine had some problems with BF2 and Norton Internet Security, too. If you have it, disable it before you start BF2.

Hmm, it could be the problem, that old drivers can only be completely uninstalled if you start Windows in safe mode and run the cleaner from there. Maybe you check if you really got rid of the old stuff.

It could be that your PSU isn't powerful enough to handle your new card too...

Does this just happen in BF2? Do you have any games that are more intensive than BF2 that run well? If so, have you tried older/newer drivers?

Well, I think Oblivion takes a lot more from Video card than BF2. I can run Oblivion fine almost everything on high.
No. I do not have Norton. I have AVG anti-virus.
Other games run VERY good. No problems at all. I have tried to shut down every other program, but that does not work too. I am now gonna try to reinstall.
I have noticed that it does same thing when I DON'T have even disc in drive! That black screen and crash to desktop. My DVD-Drive can't be broken, because I can use every other Disc. Battlefield 2 Disc is not broken aswell.

EDIT: I got it working! YAY!

Hmm... I really don't know. I just Installed all drivers again. Including Motherboards. Then I installed BF2 again and it just magically worked. I had tried earlier to install drives again and it did not help before.
