UE3 still has an optional file compression system, but we don't recommend using it. Compression is built into the publishing process already and we found that using .uz2 caused slower downloads.

Although this might be a dumb question, how do I download the SDK?

Exceptional TWI! Truly, you guys are one of the few companies/developers out there that care about your community. On such things, faith rests. Thank you.

  1. Open steam
  2. Select library
  3. Click on the drop-down menu below the word LIBRARY
  4. Select Tools in this drop-down menu
  5. Now search in the list of tools for Red Orchestra 2 SDK
  6. Right-click it and select Install Game...
That's all

And to TWI: GREAT JOB!!!

Anyone got their redirect to actually work yet.

I am finding that the map will start downloading at an ok pace but get to about 40% and give an error. "Error opening file"

Anyone else experiencing this.

NB downloading the 80+MB Butovo map.

"Red Orchestra 2 SDK" is not in my list..... my system did download the update for RO2, but there is no SDK listed for RO2 in the Tools section.

There is:

• Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45
• RedOrchestra SDK Beta

But that's it.

if anyone has an sdk listed for the game under another name, please let us know!

No!! it's "Red Orchestra 2 sdk" if you don't see that, you don't have it yet.

All users should now see the SDK in their tools list. If clients are downloading too slow they might time out the connection. There is a command I'll get up tomorrow that will allow users to change that time out time.
