Default Question: Sven Hassel . Whether it is necessary to spend for this time and money?

In shop saw three books. Author Sven Hassel. A "legion doomed", "General SS","To direct to Gestapo".
Whether it is necessary on to waste time on it and money?
"legion doomed" ="Misfit Brigade" ??

Sven Hassel,
Ah, a blast from the past. I used to read those books and they are very enjoyable.....its just that its a guilty secret . They are frowned upon by history buffs and 'serious' readers. Enjoy them for what they are....war novels, don't take them as 'gospel' though. Far too many dates and details don't add up.

Book Titles

The Legion Of The Damned (1953)
Wheels Of Terror (1958)
Comrades of War (1960)
Assignment Gestapo (1963)
Monte Cassino (The Beast Regiment) (1963)
Liquidate Paris (1967)
March Battalion (1962)
SS-General (1969)
Reign of Hell (1971)
Blitzfreeze (1976)
The Bloody Road to Death
Court Martial
OGPU Prison (1981)
The Commissar
