[Error] Not displaying proper player name.

Instead of using my steam name RO2 has decided to give me the name "player####".

The proper name is set on the profile page but in game it is always "player" with four numbers after it.

I've searched for help and can't find any fixes.

That's a name sync issue. I believe the way to fix it is to change your Steam name so that it forces RO2 to sync your new name when you launch it. Then, you can change it back and yet again let RO2 sync your name.

I've changed my name in game and it didn't work. I've closed RO2 and changed names and it didn't work. I've closed RO2, changed names, and logged out and back into steam and it didn't work.

that's confusing. are you saying you changed your name in steam, and it didn't work?

Yes in steam I changed my name. In game, out of game before launching, and out of game then logging out of steam and back in. Nothing has worked.

You changed your name out of game, and joined a server?
If that doesn't work, then there is the "setname" command.
Example:
setname Moskeeto

However, I believe that that command is only temporary and only lasts for until a map change.
