Where are you Summer Event 2012?

Come on! How much longer we need to wait? I've heard rumors that something big is coming up. Last year's Summer Event started on June 30th. My summer holiday just started - plenty of time to play Please hurry up!

Last year it was supposed to come out on June 30th, and the message we received this year was just last year's message. Don't expect anything new. Also TWI had some problems. The event actually started on July 1st at approximately 5:30 PM CT.

Also keep in mind that July 1st fell on a Friday. I wouldn't expect the event to start during the weekend unless there really are no changes, and they simply have it programmed to start at a set time.

On a serious note, maybe their fixing some map glitches or stuff and then will update it back to normal and then to summer time event. Also, if this Ash character comes out as a DLC, would it really be just one character? Shouldnt they add another 3 characters to make it 4?

The potato achievements didn't start until June 15th right? These things usually last 1 month so maybe the summer event will start as late as July 15th...

SUMMER UPDATE CONFIRMED, but what could the wait be for? Maybe, new weapons release? Bugs/glitches fixed? Ash is released early? Or maybe, a new map? Oh god, i cant stand to not know.

Lets just accept the fact summer zeds are coming out xD , just be happy with that. Better than nothing if theres a new map/stuff coming out thats cool but still they dont have to give us anything.

Wouldn't you prefer that they focus their efforts on KF2 now and maybe some minor bug fixes from time to time for KF? From what I can see they did fix a bunch of bugs with the recent update. I feel that it is the community's responsibility to expand the game now, and if the community comes up with something worth whitelisting then it should be submitted for whitelisting whenever it reopens.

I personally much prefer the Xmas zeds over the somewhat dated looking Summer Sideshow and Halloween zeds so I wouldn't mind an update. Also I loved it when they gave us a second Christmas map with the Ice Cave. However, with all of that being said I feel Tripwire has done more than enough for us with Killing Floor and the definitive final edition of the game should be Killing Floor Gold with some minor updates coming out afterwards.

Also I have not played the Red Orchestra games, but it is to my understanding that die hard fans of the original had some problems with the sequel on its launch date. I believe they have been resolved since. In order to prevent such problems with KF2 on its launch date I would like them to focus as much of their efforts as possible on that game.
