Jokes aside, while fumbling around with the dotty text glitch, I managed to change it to something that causes it to crash when it launches. Someone please tell me how to manually reset settings.

Browse to your Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor\system directory and delete the killingfloor.ini file, or if you are hiding file extensions the one that says configuration settings and has a cog on the icon. If you cannot find this file then delete the whole system directory. Alternatively you can edit the file with notepad or similar and comment out the software line, and uncomment the direct3d or directx9 line - I can't remember what these are called offhand.
