Default Server is not Responding

I'm trying to host a dedicated server for Killing Floor.

When someone tries to connect to my server or join my game, they get the message: "Server is not Responding"

When I asked them what IP address it said my server was, they said
"192.168.1.6:7707"

How do I fix this problem so that people can connect to my server?

Make sure you forwarded all of the ports correctly, i had this same problem earlier (I have Verizon FiOS). What i did was forward, UPD/TPC Any>7707 (or w/e port you need), you probably forwarded it like UPD/TPC 7707>7707. Check here for what ports you need to forward: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...ad.php?t=30634 (thanks @Yoshiro for it) also i use the PFPort checker to check if the ports are open, link to it:http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm

Definitely try forwarding port 20560 both tcp/udp. Also make sure that your firewall does not block killingfloor or ucc.exe. You should also be able to open the necessary ports in your firewall manually. And try joining your server via your external IP.

I followed Yoshiro's guide to forward the following ports:

7707 UDP
7708 UDP
7717 UDP
28852 TCP & UDP
8075 TCP
20560 UDP

I downloaded PFPortChecker from their main website link: http://www.portforward.com/store/PFPortChecker.exe

It would not install properly on my Windows 7 x64 computer.

So I tried this version instead, which works fine: http://portforward.com/store/back296...cker1.0.39.exe

I check all the ports Yoshiro said to forward with PFPortChecker.

All of the ports I checked said "Your port is open on this computer."

However, the ping result on every port I checked is "we were not able to ping your router."

If I start up Killing Floor, click "host game" and click on "listen" (start a listen server), I'm able to host a game & friends can join.

How do I get friends to be able to join my server, using a dedicated Killing Floor server?

When someone tries to connect to my dedicated server or join my game, they still get the message: "Server is not Responding"

When I asked them what IP address it said my server was, they said
"192.168.1.6:7707"

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

don't use the 192.168.1.w/e ip address, that's your address for your LAN, go to google and type "what is my ip" and use that instead. then they can connect to it.

How do I configure my dedicated Killing Floor server to use my real IP address instead of 192.168.1.6:7707?

you don't need to configure it, just use [external IP address here w/o the brackets]:7707 in killing floor and you should get in just fine
