Default Bandaging has never worked for me

Played through the Axis SP and now on the Aliies SP. The bandaging system has never worked. Is there supposed to be some sort of animation? I changed the key thinking it might be something with my keyboard, but still nothing happens and I always bleed out. Any suggestions?

there is no animation. you just hear it happen if he's able to bandage the wound.
you're the only person i ever remember, having a problem with bandaging.

The only animation is third person view. From my experience if the wound is serious you'll bleed out quick w/ no chance to bandage . On Semi serious hits if you don't bandage immediately You'll bleed out in under 15 - 30 seconds.

The bandaging doesn't "heal " anything it just stops the bleed out of "hit points"

I always bleed out in like 2-5 seconds. Do I have to keep the key pressed or just tap it once?? I always press the key within 2 seconds of seeing the notification to do so.

I just press it once. I go into a kneel positon and hear a cloth ripping sound (perfect time to get shot again if not in cover. ) If it is a major hit ,hitting that key does nothing. The wound is terminal.

Well it just so happens that I think it actually worked a few times this afternoon. But it appears that all of my wounds have been fatal up until today. Sheesh!
