Dont zoom when ironsight

Hi there!

First of all, thank you for this game because I'll enjoy it for a looong looong time. I have played for a lot RO and DH and there is one thing that I really think is better in RO1 than RO2. That's the automatic zoom when ironsight.

I like to focus pressing shift key for a better aiming, but I dont like the automatic zoom just "ironsighting". It depends on the weapon because the zoom is different in each weapon, but in my opinion the best way would be to zoom only with the shift key.

I think so because now with a bolt rifle is very difficult to cover just a door or to aim in a short range. It supposes more hip-shooters, and I dont really like them.

What do you guys think?

PS: One more thing, please TW team, decrease the size of my head. I think It's a very easy target

When was the last time you checked the game settings?

Its still there if you manually edit your ini files, but its removed from the menu.

Where and in which .ini would I need to change this? I hate having tons of zoom in CQB situations.

look under:
[ROGame.ROPlayerController]

then the setting:
IronSightZoomScaleSMG=0.500000
IronSightZoomScaleRifle=0.500000
IronSightZoomScaleBipod=0.500000

change these amounts between 0 and 1, where 0 means no IS zoom.

I tried this & got the values changed to 0 but there still seems to be some zoom when I bring up the sights--it may be less than before, I can't really tell. Is this normal or did I do something incorrectly?

I'd be a much happier RO2 player if those options were still there.

I really hope this is a patch-in priority for TWI. It rocked in the pre-DDE beta, despite the glitches it caused.
