What happened to the game that made me feel like I was in a war.
Don't get me wrong I love RO2 and it is easily one of the best shooters I have ever played, but something has been bugging me.
RO and DH made me feel like I had a real objective such as "take this bridge" or "take this beach" but with RO2 I feel like every mode is nothing more than a glorified TDM. In the original game there would literally be a front defensive line and you felt like you were fighting for your life as the enemy charged at you, now it's like a giant team deathmatch with objectives that have no real meaning, there is no longer a front line and there is not as near as much immersion for me because of this. I miss this feeling of actually charging across a bridge with 30 other guys trying to break the enemy.
I don't really know but i'm probably just rambling... It's just something I love about the original RO... I felt like I was in the middle of a battle instead of playing a computer game, RO2 fails to make me feel that way because of it's version of TE. I don't feel like I have a real reason to take any of the objections.
Does anyone else feel this way?
