Default The Review thread

Maybe better to make one thread for all the reviews and list them in the first post?

Could be like this

INFO: In the last 2 weeks people seemed to ask why there also reviews of small pages or from forum users and not only from big pages like IGN etc in this thread. I dont consider those reviews less important and they are gonna be listed here when I think they have a certain ammount of content in it.

Really you should be pointing out on the list which ones are publishers reviews which have weight and ones which are the opinions of the ordinary gamer/forum player (no offense fedorov and others like him)

It says that it was uploaded yesterday, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the forums.

The reviewer seems to love it.

9/10

Maybe Gamers underground accidentally put it out of 10 and it was meant to be out of 5...

Let's not forget Metacritic's User reviews. The score is tanking by the hour on there.

Metacritic is useless, it tends toward console games and console gamers, when a game does not look or feel like a console it will usually get a low score. If you read the reviews of the people trashing the game, it mirrors the same thing in the general forums, complaining about what appears to be no more than "the game does not look or feel like their favorite FPS", I get a kick out of the gamers with their uber-rigs that complain about not being able to play the game, then complain that the graphics are dated and clunky. Personally I find the graphics more appealing than CoD 4 and 5, more interesting than BFBC2 and enjoy that it takes a little more thought to win a match. It is comical that they complain that there is no player tags over the other character heads, that there bullets are not laser precise, or any of the other 10,000 rants about the game.
Let them rant, it means that they will move on to another game and I will not have to deal with these type ruining the game for the other players. I do not think that this is a 100 percent game, but I enjoy this much more than some of those other games that have no depth to them.

I do not think they know how to review, they gave Brink a 7 out of 10, it looked so bad I did not even consider it http://gamers-underground.com/conten...nk-review.html for whatever my opinion is worth

really like the gamespy review and it sounds quite fair. they should have done their homework about the system requirements though, as they're not that steep...

the gamers underground review honestly sounds like it was written from user feedback in the forums, and not from play experience.

Yeah the GU review was terrible and not because the person didn't like the game... It was just so very unprofessional... I tend to think that a flame war on their site was the main purpose of what was written...

It seemed to work however, I even posted myself but remained cool-headed (yes that is actually within my skill-set)... From how fast (slow) the non-subscriber posts get posted it might be tomorrow before you can see it...

Aside from that though I am glad to see RO2 getting some good reviews... I think it deserves it...

I dont really see a reason why we should make a difference between Reviews written by Magazines and Big Websites and Reviews written by normal people.

Also thread updated.

Added.

The review got one thing wrong. Killing floor is not using the unreal 3 engine. Its actually more using a unreal 2.5 engine.
