Hi, I was just watching some videos of RO2 and I noticed a few small but bothersome things with a couple of the Russian weapons. The SVT-40 appears to have a plum colored bolt which they did not have during wartime. That plum color you see on alot of them these days, comes from the arsenal refinishing that most of them went through after WW2. The 2nd weapon I saw sporting an error was the Mosin Nagant. It looked to have a blued bolt (for those that don't know bluing is what gives the metal its black look) which they did not have. Both rifles bolts were "in the white" as it's called or in other words polished bare steel. I don't know if they had already planned to fix these things but for the sake of historical accuracy I would really like to see them do so before release.

A dev has already commented on this. Apparently the darker color is the result of an artist making the bolts "dirtier" to add a sense of wear. It's just that--a layer of grime.

Also remember that some things that you might see right now are just placeholders.

Yeah it's not grime, I was wondering about that too.
I'm sure it'll be changed. |
