With our past Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 events, and the support of many community members looking forward to the upcoming Heroes of Stalingrad game by Tripwire Interactive, we decided at Forgotten Honor to start the development of a massive team-play based online campaign for Red Orchestra 2. The aim of this campaign is to offer the RO2 gamers a new gaming experience. Tripwire Interactive’s gamers will enjoy RO2 at a new level of teamwork, historical immersion and social gaming. We plan to launch the campaign 2 weeks after the release of Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad. Forgotten Honor is already working for months in the planning of a brand new campaign for RO2:HoS. Alot has already been done and we are setting up the final touches has we speak.
About Forgotten Honor Forgotten Honor is an international gaming community, with nearly 10.000 members, that has a great amount of experience in arranging online events for games. Founded in 2004 by several gamers who wanted to organize "teamwork" emphasized battles for computer games, Forgotten Honor has been growing until becoming one of the leaders in online events market powered by gamers. Tournament Interface Forgotten Honor has a custom developed tournament interface for our long-term events, featuring: • Exclusive for Forgotten Honor • Easy Sign-up process (Multiple campaigns, sides and combat units) • Automated system involving private forums and user profiling • Profiles with integrated log of activity • Deep detailed rank hierarchy structure and medal award system • Campaign statistics • Attendance submit Medal/Badges Award System Forgotten Honor provides a custom made medal/badges award system interface. During the progression of the campaign soldiers will be awarded with specific medals/badges and ranks proving their valour in the battlefield. Just a few examples below: Forgotten Honor will be entering a brand new world of WW2 gaming simulation, be a part of it! The campaign promises to offer explosive, fun, and engaging gameplay. Tactics and teamplay will reign supreme in the field of battle, with detailed organisation, chains of command, and intense regiment-based warfare. Even the newest recruit has the opportunity to become a key part of their regiment by advancing through the ranks and earning medals for their accomplishments. Very Snazzy post.
Can I ask. Is this campaign going to be a realism campaign or just a normal play one? By Realism I mean only 1 life and the Usual rules. Also I hope you've done you're research on the Award Criteria for those medals. I don't want to see anyone getting a Close Combat Clasp for bayoneting one Russian.

It will be a realism and historical accurate campaign.
About the award criteria we have our own rules at Forgotten Honor, they are strict and each medal/badge/ribbon have to pass through a chain of command before they get approved. Last edited by RAnDOOm; 04-02-2011 at 02:33 PM. |
