Default The "anything" thread

Ok, I decided that it's time to make a thread for speaking your minds, writing what you're doing and discussing random garbage that springs into mind and isn't the kind of thing that's worthy of it's own thread. Consider it a thread for venting or praising the little things in life. Consider it as a more acceptive group chat.

The purpose of this thread is to talk about anything without making over 9000 threads in the offtopic forums, instead, it's to be made in one thread.

My thoughts of the day:

So what's everybody doing? Me, I'm spending friday at home, swigging a few strongbows and waiting to watch The Walking Dead on telly. There's nothing better than a bit of alcohol at the end of the week to relax and forget your troubles. My biggest trouble would be dropping college to spend the next two years studying 3D modelling. A good choice, it seems. I may not see my friends again for god-knows-how long, though. I may drop into the school as a suprise visitor.

I'm currently reading forums like an idiot, spending a lot of time that I should be spending in more useful things.

Lol, useful things like what? Yeah, I spend a lot of time constantly refreshing TWI forums, Furaffinty and Facebook with lack of better things to do.

I'm watching the episode of Firefly where the engine goes kaput, and then everyone leaves, and then Mal gets shot, and then they all lived happily ever after.

And I'm handcrafting TINY Christmas cards (viewed here on top of a brass guitar slide).

You're a bloody furry and you had to look up definition the word lewd in a dictionary? You could have just put on your fursuit and looked in a frakking mirror.

Anyway. I just finished detail stripping, rebarrelling, and rebuilding the fire control group of my Ruger 10/22, and cleaning the hell out of my M&P 15-22. Had a good day yesterday making war upon the ground squirrels, and the guns were a bit dirty. (And, in the case of the Ruger, worn out.)

I hate using a word in a conversation and the other person doesn't understand. The other day I used the word "precarious" and this woman I work with had no inkling as to what that meant. What's worse is when a author uses obscure words in a book for no reason. Basically the words used are so pointless their definition consists of "see [other word]".

WHAT 9000?
THERE'S NO WAY THAT CAN BE RIGHT.

I'm sick and tired of driving to work and getting stuck at the lights that are around the town square because some moron in front of me thinks they need to leave 6 empty car lengths between themselves and the vehicle in front of them. Pull the F@#$ up and stop forcing everyone behind you to sit thru the traffic light twice you bleeping idiot.

Yesterday I learned that although my girlfriend can't hit the broadside of a barn in games like MOHAA, she is actually a dead-eye in ironsight only games like RO.

I'm so proud.

And so you should be. A girlfriend who can play RO is the subject of envy for many people.

I have a sister who plays a lot of KF and I am also proud, but she is quite awkward at actually getting to grips with the game with like, the way she moves and things like that (she is a lefty, though).

Do you reckon skill in videogames is something you're born with?

No, I don't see why it would be. It's not like there's any kind of "video game gene" we're born with.

No, but fast reflexes, good eye-hand coordination, and decisiveness are things that you're born with.

Not necessarily. I'm sure some people are born with a predisposition for traits that lead one to being good at video games, but they can very much be learned traits as well.

Also, source?

I'm glad you changed your signature, i was a bit disappoint with the last one cos admired it when you faced persecution with stoisism.

I bought a black wii and balance board pack for the kids and wife yesterday not bad at £180 considering those fit boards are really expensive on their own.
My wife has never before shown an interest in video games until seeing one of these, and the kids will obviously love it.

I can't wait myself - since making a very successful Hitler-mii on my sister's machine, i'm looking forward to placing Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Ceaucescu and other dubious political figures from history in the context of hula-hooping, step aerobics, and heading footballs whist avoiding pandas.
