can't view profile&achievments

So I'm playing solo and was getting some cool looking shots in both zed and real time and thought I'd try and get some screen shots.
I'm playing along doing not to bad and decided to go look at my achievements but couldn't access them.
I exit the game and restarted and still no go. So I try everything else on the splash screen and no problem I just can't access profile&achievements. I then tried rebooting my pc and noticed that just before the splash screen pops up. I get a half second flash of the last screen shot I took.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

It's a problem with Steam, not Killing Floor. Steam can't connect to the main database server at the moment, for whatever reason, and that means you can't see your achievements, perks, or any other non-local saved data. Once Steam is fixed, your game will be just fine.

I just noticed that TF2 is updating and getting ready for a free weekend as well. I assume that's where part of the issue lies.

I apologize for this unnecessary thread, I guess I didn't read enough beforehand.
