Default Which cartoon series to watch?

Had a little time today and watched some of the latest South Park and Simpsons episodes... boy do these shows suck. Simpsons should've stopped years ago. The show has become so random and not funny, the fact that they mocked Family Guy for such a long time for being unoriginal and having no storyline just seems very ironic now. Ditto South Park. They think they got it with always being up to date with their story (presidential election, economic crisis...) but they wrecked their characters and don't really surprise anyone anymore.
Then there's Family Guy and American Dad. They are somewhat funny. Really surprising to myself that I'd ever call Family guy funny. But you can already feel both shows have had their peak.

So what's next? Any show I don't know of yet?

I stand by Family Guy, has been consistently entertaining for some time now. Slight change in direction for a few characters but it's still ****ing funny.

The Venture Brothers.

Harvey Birdman: Attouney at law.

Frisky Dingo.

Drawn Together.

Robot Chicken.

That's just what comes to mind here and now, all of them well worth the watch.

I watched all Drawn Together I think, they air them here on MTV (MTV's agenda here is to air anything that is not related to music). It was really funny, but apparently it's dead already. Heard some good things about Robot Chicken and King of the Hill, guess I'll need to check those out.

Unlike the changes made to South Park's and the Simpson's characters, I think Family Guy has improved a lot from the first two seasons to now. Stewie and Brian's fantasy adventures remind me of Calvin and Hobbes a lot and I love those.

Yeah Drawn Together is done, but if you've never seen more than a couple of episodes, then there's 2 or 3 seasons (did it run 2 or 3? can't remember) there of content for you to enjoy, and it ended whilst it was still good so its well worth it.

Frisky Dingo is just starting on season 2, and its a mixed bag, funny charecters, definately, but the plot has been a little.. muddy in the last few eps of season 1, maybe season 2 will correct that, or maybe it wont, worth a look at any rate.

But you should definately watch Harvey Birdman, Venture Bros and Robot Chicken.

The Simpsons is so sad these days. The other night they had a re-run episode on TV, you know the one where Homer finds himself in command of the submarine. It was that bit where it shows the UN and the Russian guy is like, "The Soviet Union will offer amnesty to your wayward vessel", the American goes, "Soviet Union, I thought you guys broke up?" to which the Russian says, "That's what we wanted you to think!!!" presses a button and then we get an awesome montage of the Soviet Union re-emerging with Lenin reanimating and breaking out of his display chamber etc. That scene just made me think of how awesome the show used to be compared to what it is now, they must kill it!

Venture Bros and Harvey Birdman rock, watch them!

Or you could watch Married with Children and picture it cell-shaded in your mind, and you have 11 years worth of fun
