Note: Major Versions "V1/V2/V3" indicate a different Hive! Patch Revisions are shown as "REV1/2/3 etc"

KF-TheHiveV1REV3 has been released. Downloads through the Steam workshop will be automatically downloaded.

REV3 - Bug Fixes.
* Should resolve an issue where downloads from a server are extremely slow.
* Fixed Keyboard2.U in Map.
* Added some visual updates to the map
* Removed old references to KF.MOD Sounds

With the Tripwire Announcement that they are opening a Steam Workshop, this is the perfect opportunity to fix and finalise The Hive series.

With that in mind, I want to fix up "The Hive" and add more content/missions. I also want to do this on all versions of "The Hive" (V1/V2/V3)

Starting from Today, I am beginning the tidy up on V1!

If you wanted something in KF-TheHiveV1, name it now... or forever hold your peace.

Hey, you may know me from the Killing Floor forums.
And you may know me from the map i designed called

KF-TheHive

This map is still in BETA. This is NOT a final.

Info:

KF The Hive was built in 2007 by KiCk3R. It is based from the film Resident Evil of the building "The Hive". An underground facility which operates Biological warfare. Your team were sent underground to shutdown "The Red Queen". Once complete, you have to get out of The Hive alive!

The new Hive contains tons of Extra content never seen before!

Wow, great texture work. I love the sewers part, very atmospheric.
This game reminds me to Silent Hill a lot, I hope they keep the creature design (bloody things with nails) and sound in the full release.

Oh btw kick3r, you might wanna try to get in touch with tripwire devs. Since its such a huge map (also qualtiy) getting it in the retail would be much more covenient for people. downloading 100mb @ 20kbps servers = no fun.
And more maps in a game is always good. Thats what sold UT2004. The insane amount of maps.

Trying to sell major' companies intellectual property is usually a good way to get sued :P

Unless of course Kick3r wants to remove any and all ties to the film.

But seriously, only thing they could complain about is the music. You can't sue anyone with:
"Well this kick3r person created a map in a game that looked similar to The Hive in our movie." < Capcom (Umbrella) advocate
"Aren't there more underground laboratories then the one in your movie?" < Judge
"Well.. um.. yeah.. but.. ****." < advocate.

I didn't watch the xFire video in the other thread, but the still-pic looked like it had a UT2004 Grate-thingy SM in the foreground. You'll have to replace that too, if it is what I think it is.

Looks great. I played a lot of the map "red queen" for the source mod Zombie master. Your map looks 100x better though, hope the gameplay is up there too

I think he's already Myleveled all of the ut2k4 content in his map already

No need for that he just makes the texture a bit darker and voila. Grate textures, lamp posts and such look so much alike in every game I doubt very much if Epic would sue over it. They might as well start sueing Valve, EA and Ubisoft for having similiar lamp posts in their game.

I played red queen for zombie master, if you enjoyed that (Which i did not) then this is 1000x the awesomeness.

I am having the same problem with zombies not spawning. I went through from the beginning, to where you activate the Red Queen and then to some offices with a keycard and a shotgun and found no enemies the entire time. I was playing on LAN with a couple of friends.

1. I did not see any sort of .utx textrue file in the zip archive

2. When I start the game I start in a hallway with a few bullpups and invisible walls on either side of the hallway preventing me from moving.
