how do you get these new vehicles onto the game? if someone else makes them and i dont have a 3d mapping system

not really sure i understand you question...do you have a 3d model someone else made for you that you need to get in game (i.e. animate it, code and texture it?)
or.... have you downloaded like captain obvious' stug and you don't know how to get it in or.... do you want to know how to make a vehicle from scratch?

The -rough workflow- for a new vehicle into game would be something like this:
- research - Make 3d art of the exterior and interior sections of the vehicle - UV Map and Texture the 3d art - Rig and animate said 3d art - import art into the engine, and any new sounds - code new vehicle classes so you can actually use the art - test - fix were needed. - repeat above two 2 steps until done - publish

oops sorry about the not being clear on my question i was really tired when i typed it.
what i ment was like say someone on here made a tank like (ex. Captain Obvious' Stug) and i want to have it on my game. How would i go about downloading it onto the game and then finally playing with it during the game. Also is there any way you could tell me how to do that with maps that people create too? |
