Why were they removed? They were a feature since the early mod-days. I at least think it should be a server option. I also find it a bit,..strange that when one primes a nade and one gets killed before you can throw it. The nade magically defuses itself.
I think dead nades should be re-implemented or made to a server option. Since I am sure many realism servers would also prefer dead nades to the present magical defusing. |

With the way the players react to even accidental TKs, adding in the opportunity for lots more wouldn't seem to be very beneficial to gameplay...realism or not.
I mean players can be downright abusive. They need more hugs. |

Not always, I'm sure some of mine still go off when I get killed before I throw it....

They are still in, but they dont go off 100% of the time. Only like 10% of the time...
IMO it was better in the moddays, where you had to be more carefull then now... Now you just run at the enemy, nade in hand, knowing that if you get killed, there is only a small chance something bad happens. In the mod days, you remind behind cover for as long as possible, and as much as possible, knowing that if you got killed, your mininuke would explode and kill a lot of friendlies.
