Default Phase 2 Map Contest Entries

Phase 2 Map Contest Entries

Due to popular demand we have decided to list out all the maps (and their creators) entered for the second phase of the Mapping Competition - "Deep Battle". And here they are:

Johan "Drecks" van Pelt - Zhitomir1941 Beta 3
Tomas "Drevlin" Lidström - Zavod
Kevin "DrGuppy" Butt - Leningrad Beta 5
Lionel "EscAz" Mazars - Tcherkassy Beta 2
Neil "Killer9999" Cook - Hochburg 1943, Lodz Beta 4, Orsha Clearing Beta 3, Novgorod Mountains
Tom "Moz" Hall - Black Day July
Heikki "Mr.Neutron" Jungman - Mannikkala Beta 2
Erdem "Rak" Madaral - Kryukovo Beta 2
Richard "RichZap" Glover - Korosten Beta 3
Timothy "SchutzeSepp" Wilmots - PariserPlatz 2

Tochiri - VolgaOST Beta
Joni "Xendance" Mäkelä - Smolensk Stalemate Beta 3

So, with the entries closed, we wish the best of luck to all the entrants. In the next few days we will be opening up the Tripwire servers so that we can see the maps in a public rotation - ideally nice and busy - so please keep your eyes open.

Please note: we have one entry without sufficient detail to download - so check to see if your map is in the list. If it isn't, please contact me using

And thanks to all the entrants for the immense amount of work that has gone into the creation of these maps. It may take us a little while to get through judging with so many entries!

Wierd, I swear when I read that announcement there was no link. I even refreshed! I bet you're just trying to pull off an elaborate cover-up of your mistake

No, you are indeed correct, the front page was up with no link to the forums for a period of time. However at that time there was no forum thread either to link too. The system autu makes a thread in the forums, however I forgot to hit the right button to set that up when I posted. Thus at all times that this thread has been here, the front page has had a link to it

Well, thank God that has been cleared up - I dunno how I would have slept if you hadn't sorted that out.

Man I would hate to be the judge of this. Right now I think Slyk, drecks and Guppy have an equal shot at winning...

A great collection of submissions! Good luck to all.

Where can we find out more (screenies, etc.) about the maps? For example, I am unfamiliar with VolgaOST and Novgorod Mountains and cannot always find references on Beta Map Releases forum.

*later* ... ok - I found VolgaOST screenshots (but no map) on the Level Design forum - reminds me not only of the film and CoD map, also of a bf42 mod called "Forgotten Hope" Stalingrad map.

Some great maps which I have been enjoying recently. I have two front runners, in my opinion, but will get through looking at those maps I have not played yet and see how they square up.

Also suprised to see some maps not entered for this phase of the contest eg Toula Outskirts, Kurland and a couple of others I cannot rememeber the names of right now. Especially considering there are quite a few prizes on offer.

Good luck everyone!!
