Your list is funky(hard to read), but anyway.

Unless you're like me and are an AMD diehard, you should switch to Intel and Core 2 Duo. Much better performance processor wise. Should be able to fit it into your budget, although I haven't really kept up with prices recently.

Overall that system as is will Game very nicely and is quite a bit better than mine.

My system:

Athlon X2 3800
Asrock Dual SATA2 mobo
ATI x800xl PCI-e
1gb Samsung mismatched 512mb sticks 3200 ddr
Onboard Audio
Thermaltake Xaser!!! Skull case
Thermaltake 480 watt power supply

Plays all the games I like fine, but I can't Max video settings on most current games.

I'd definately either go to the Core 2 Duo or wait and see what new stuff comes down the line. The CPU stuff looks like it's really heating up. With Intel popping out quad cores in the near future, AMD is going to have to pull something cool out to stay competative, which can only be good for the consumer.

I had the PC-build fever a month or so ago too, but further research all pointed towards 'wait!!!'. If nothing else, the current tech should be cheaper when the new stuff comes out, and that's always a plus

Waiting is usually pointless, because something else is always just around the corner.

dont forget mouse and keyboard- and its a fair slice of the budget too if you go for, say, logitech G7 and G15 combo, which would probably feature on my ideal machine.
