Default What to do...

So... I am wondering what to do with this situation...

I am a member of a fantastic clan, if not, one of the best.

I joined 4 years ago... been a regular of their server and forums for a while before that...

The clan is the type of clan that would be loved in Red Orchestra...

Its called... Zero Tolerance

An adult clan, The leader is a 29 year old women who took care of it after her husband moved on with another clan.
Most members are in between 25 and 50 years old, one of them play in the server with his son... only 2 or 3 of us are younger then 25

Rules are good rules.
No disrespect towards anyone.
No whining, complaining... (wtf, bs, omg, h4x, omfg....)
no cheating, and are usually very alert, monitor well even in case of ghosting...

Problem...
Its Counter Strike 1.6
Game is getting old... I love playing with them, they are somewhat like a distant family, I would never want to leave that clan... but..

In the past month... I might have played like a total of 2 hours...
Sadly... it seems to go on for most of our members... and the server is almost always empty :'(

Here is my dream....
Influence them in making the clan a CS1.6 & RO clan...

Sorry for the pointless post... I just felt like talking
I thank those nice enough to read thru my blabering about :P

In the side note, if anyone here does play a bit of CS1.6
I Kick and potentially ban any immature people who break the rules and we do encourage teamwork so feel free to send me a pm.

so... what to do...

I will be looking into the prices for Eastern US RO Servers and the price ranges

It's always sad when a clan stops playing, my DoD clan went the same way when DoD went retail, wound down to just the odd game, now barely anybody plays DoD:S at all. Nothing's really come to replace dod in all of their eyes, and RO is a bit hard for them :P

With any luck a RO free week is approaching and you can get them all to give it a go.

I remember the last clan I was actually a part of for a game, it was CQC for the original Delta Force.

I still miss it.

Just try your best to drill it into their brains how great RO is once they get past the learning curve (emphasize that alot). Say things like "trust me once you get good at RO you'll wonder why you played such and such a game" Or "Once you go RO you don't go back" etc. Explain to them how if they invest the time required and get over the learning bump the gaming reward will be better than any other they've experienced (emphasize that alot). Show them every trailer you can of RO. Alot of people miss out on awesome things because they can't handle the initial hurdle and give up, so just try your best to help explain in detail to them.

I will oww I will...

But right now... its a little difficult.. I dont feel like stressing out our wonderful clan leader at the moment with clan duties... (She just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy)

Its not just the members, its also that we have regulars that seem to be just like members... its a small VERY tight community.

However... I think that 99% of those guys would LOVE RO...
It is an adult clan that enjoys teamwork more then anything else.

I just hope everyone's computers can handle RO (Members and regulars)

Looking forward to the free week.
