Iron Grip: The Oppression Release Imminent!

According to PHL, the HL2 mod Iron Grip is soon to release. It looks beautiful, and has an interesting concept as well. Release party is today, and release should be today or tomorrow.

Don't waste your time, its hardly past alpha right now. The concept was cool, but the execution was lackluster. The RTS person needs to be a tactical genius to win, even then he somehow has to protect his NPC 'general' from 10 other REAL players who can easily zerg and kill him anyways.

The videos they've posted all look like total crap. When you play in first person, the character seems to fly over the ground. Blergh, doesn't interest me at all.

Lags hard when tanks get involved, and the oppresion controls are broken. I would be flat out surprised if the resistence ever lost a single round. Guns are neat looking but ugly (not in a dirtied up kind of way, a bad models and textures kind of way). If this mod gets patched real quick then it might make it. Though I would put my money on it failing, not being mean, just realistic.
