Fallen heroes..and yes..thats the last one of the objectives the germans have to hold...( eventho i never saw the russians come close to that )

I've seen many of these, but it's great to have them labelled and know exactly what brigade and division these men belong to, etc.

It's the Univermag Department Store, and it is in Fallen Fighters. It's the building where the TWI guys visiting Volgograd had to drink with the owner (or whatever he was) of the building.

I just noticed the soldier on the righ has a ppd-40 now thats rare in 1942 considering they were replaced by the ppsh

While I did not research it, according to Wikipedia around 90,000 of them where built. Assuming Wikipedia is true, it would not surprise me. 90,000 is a lot, probably a bunch floating around throughout the late war.
