Stop smoking pot! Infantry in buildings and forests completely rape tanks, choppers, and other infantry. Use troop transports or helicopters to airlift your guys, and dump em into these zones.

Oh I know where the infantry are supposed to be useful, but anytime I'm in a forest or in buildings I am instantly bombarded by artillery support. And tell me, honestly, aren't infantry supposed to be somewhat adept at capturing ground?

I'm also in the beta, managed to get in via CVG. Either there's a patch coming soon (or maybe it was just released) that adds new maps?

I was completely lost on how to play the game. Am I missing some tutorial mode somewhere? I hoped into an empty game server that quickly had more joining so I was tossed right into the thick of it from the start. I've only played one game so far out of fear of sucking too badly.

The standard infantry are good against air units, the anti-tanks are good against tanks and the snipers are good against other infantry. Use forests, buildings and different cover at all times. Usually the other team underestimates infantry, thus making it easy for you to succeed :3

And just go into a server and try out stuff, don't take it too seriously, try each branch out and see what fits you best. I'm best as Armor and infantry. It's very fun.

We clearly won in that round. Teamwork is essential in this game. Everyone has to support eachother!

I'm not sure, in general i really hate 'uberweapons' like UT's redeemer, or atom bombs in RTS's wich wipe out entire bases, no matter of how long it takes you to get them.
Every time one of those things go off i see a vision of a giggling 10 year old who cant use proper tactics but wins solely by using the overpowered nukes etc.

Nukes cost 75 TA. Unless your team is whoring all of their points and dumping them to one person, you won't see more than one nuke on the field. Most rounds go without any at all.

One round I played once had Seven nukes go off


I fired off 3, on double nuke and a single
My teammate fired off two in a double nuke
and two people on the other team fired off one nuke each.....


.... We whored our points

We stacked on this one guy, he said to do so right at the beginning. It's not easy to get TA points. You get them by killing other units or conquering command points. And the command point TA's take forever to get lol

The open beta starts today. There's only 2 maps but there's single player tutorial mission. If you were already in the closed beta, don't bother registering again, since they'll automatically send you a key.

EDIT: Apparently you need to be a fileplanet suscriber to download from fileplanet, which really bites because the only other client downloads are on EU servers...
