Will you be able to change "skins" & sounds in RO:HOS as in CS:S?

In RO there was no customisation because it was their first game and they were a bunch of moddesigners at the start of their career.

But today almost every game offers to customize your character, its some kind of standard.
Its not about copying something from other games, its about to stay updated with what players expect now.
If you make the game like 5 years ago, problerly just the people here in the forum will buy it...

Face it, RO2 needs more buyers/players than just the hardcore guys in here.

I'd MUCH rather see the devs work on enhancing the gameplay and providing new and exciting (and realistic) features, level design, and animations, rather than just pumping out stuff that is "standard" but mindless. Most multiplayer FPSes 5 years ago had customization also, and a good chunk way back in 2000 did too. Most games also allowed you to tweak your loadout by mixing and matching a bunch of weapons. RO had hard class restrictions with only a few choices. But niether of those hampered the origional RO, and it won't hamper it today.

Perhaps the Heros will be able to put bits of plant matter on thier helmets, boot black on thier faces, or whatever. But the vast majority of soldiers should just be randomly generated dudes, just like in RO.

Now that I think of it, I can't think of any game with "customizing" your avatar. Call of Duty games don't have it and neither does Battlefield games.

It was a design choice with RO and KF not to allow custom content without a proper mutator or built into a map.

Its good that not everyone can build/upload his own skin.
But will it be possible that you choose different headgear for example?

A) normal helmet

B) white helmet

C) helmet with camogear

D) helmet with foliage net

I agree with some small customization, like choosing face model, voice, medals if available, glasses... Well, in the red army there was a big variety of uniforms in a single unit during the war, while in german units there was no variety at all, except in the winter. So, we should be able to choose our uniform when we are playing as allies and, in winter maps as axis.
