Dropped Pickup Lifespan

Small server-side mutator that changes the lifespan of dropped weapons and dosh.

By default, the lifetime of the weapon is only 5 minutes, which is very short on difficult waves. As a result, the weapon either disappears (which is bad), or the players are forced to "refresh" it (pick up and throw), and this is also terribly tiring, because instead of surviving you have to deal with strange weapon rituals.

With this mod, server operators will be able to set comfortable values and improve the game experience.

Throw All Weapons On Dead

A small server-side mutator that forces players to throw all their weapons on death (not just the current weapon as in the game by default).

The loss of valuable weapons in the last waves greatly demoralizes the players because the game punishes the team that managed to survive (!) by taking away weapons from part of the team.

This change makes the game more interesting and encourages players to keep fighting.

Looted Trader Inventory

Remove weapons from trader's inventory (and that's it).

Cannot be used to add unbalanced weapons to the game, so cannot make the game easier in any way. If it becomes whitelisted then server operators will have more tools to customize their servers.

Features:

  • default/next map setting;
  • anonymous or public voting;
  • kick logging;
  • kick voting setup;
  • early kick protection.
Improved kick system solves the problem of kick at the start while leaving the ability to remove low-level players at high difficulty levels

I've been looking into where we are at on adding new mods, but it seems like nobody currently working on the team is familiar with the tools and process involved here. I've raised that there are many who would love to see additions to the team.

It has very low potential for abuse and is in no way worse than XP farming maps like "KillBox" etc which are abundant and nobody cares about it. It's long overdue, as "HoE is too easy" has been a problem for a long time, players don't like your EDARs, players don't like the spawnrage mechanic, barely anyone plays the "Endless" mode which was TWI's response to "HoE is too easy" and you aren't in position to introduce such big changes to the game as a new difficulty, as face it -- you've lost many developers and nobody understands the game and its mechanic on a good enough level, just leave it to the modding community.
