Upcoming Forum Overhaul

We are starting the work to switch our forums, which have been based on a version of the Vbulletin forum software since their inception with the Red Orchestra mod (then VB 3 and currently VB 5.1) to an all new forum software called Xenforo. After researching it, we feel Xenforo is a better choice for the future as it has a vibrant modding and addon community that will allow us to extend the functions of these forums in ways players will enjoy.

As part of this, at some point in the near future these forums will be locked down so we can merge over all of the existing content into the new forum database. It will likely then be a few more days as we work on the new forum and correct any issues from the merge.

We already lost whole ideas and suggestion sub forum on the 1st merge.... rip some of my kick ass ideas :c

This process is in its final stages. However we currently have one issue left we are working to overcome. When we import the current forum database the IMG tags do not come over properly. We are attempting to see if we can correct this ourselves or see if we need to wait for an importer update (a bug has been filed and acknowledged by the new forum software).

We have found a workaround to the last issue that was preventing the forum migration. We are now working to see if we can overcome some of those workaround limitations before proceeding.

Testing of the workaround has gone well. We will likely proceed this week with the forum upgrade. However if that fails to happen, we will postpone it to post Gamescom.
