3D & Animation Turning off hud and model?

I'm looking to shoot scenes for a short film I'm making,does anyone know how to disable the hud and stop the 3d gun from showing in first person? I essentially want some shots to have a ""handheld"" camera effect rather than the jerky movement of the spectator view.

EDIT - I figure if I can remove the HUD i can just drop all my weapons and film that way.

There should be an option to disable HUD in the options in game :S if im not mistaken ( they might not have added it this round)

The showHUD command works, thank you. Unfortunately you cannot drop all your weapons ingame you are always stuck with one of them. Which means I cannot achieve the "handheld" look, my hope is that this changes in the future.
