Hi Folks,

I made a blunder whilst making a map. I needed another section of terrain so I copied and pasted one I had, my mistake was I altered the copied terrain, which then altered the original bit too.

I have a backup of the original terrain, but I can't copy and paste it as it just acts like the newer version.

The only thing I can do is to copy the height map section of the old terrain and paste it into the new terrain.

How can I get the height map from the original terrain?

Thanks

Fixed my own issue: It takes some getting to, set the texture browser to show terrain height map BMP's. Export the file, rename, re-import. Go to the Terrain Properties, change the path to the renamed file and the terrain will be back to its original self. Always make backups and if you work on another terrain, make sure its not a copy as this will change the original too.
