The only times the suppression system has had any effect on me is when a friendly close behind me fired. I know it would be scary in real life if they fired like that but fact is that this is a game with limited control over your avatar. In real life you can from most positions put your weapon in such a way that there is no danger for the one in front.

If an enemy shoots at you from 4 feet away it's useless to duck for cover, it's obviously still scary as **** but I don't think we need the game to tell us that exesivly in those situation. The suppression system is there after all to force enemies to take cover or reorientate.

My suggestion is that gun twitching from suppression doesn't happen when an enemy or friendly fire close by you from a very close distance but all the visual effects stay to warn you.
