Level Design Precise Control of Cover Nodes

WHY?! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?!

Is there something I can tick/untick to gain finer control of cover node placement? This **** is driving me up the wall.

you will see that whit stock maps as well. they're buggy bastages.

Even in the stock maps, huh? That's clumsy as fack. Got any advice on how to avoid these weird "nudges" that building paths tend to do.
