Yes, that is indeed 88 - as in EIGHTY-EIGHT - PPSh-41's mounted in the bomb bay of a Tupolev TU-2 bomber. It was designed to be a gunship, kind of like a WWII version of the AC-47 "Puff the Magic Dragon" modification.


No idea how effective this would be, considering you've only got a few seconds of firing time. Then again, I sure as hell wouldn't want to be caught under that lead rain.

Was it really to fire? Could also be a mount to get the weapons to troops without having to land... But I can't read the cyrillic, so I could be terribly wrong

They already had parachute's, thats the way to drop off weapons/supplies without needing to land...
