    Hello everyone!

With the release of the 1.2.4 Update, the Rising Storm teams at Antimatter Games and Tripwire Interactive are continuing to focus in on the next major release: Update 1.3.

Before the break, we talked about some new weapons making their way into the game including the MAS-49 (several variants, one of which has rifle grenades), the Molotov Cocktail, as well as the community map Saigon joining the official rotation. Today we wanted to share more details on Saigon as well as some other new maps heading your way.
(Please Keep In Mind All Media Is A Work In Progress+

Saigon takes the fight to the last days of the war, with the ARVN trying to hold up the PAVN's final offensive and some of its major targets, the US embassy and Presidential Palace, that were previously targeted during the Tet offensive.

As part of the process of joining the official rotation, Saigon has been receiving some major enhancements including: map flow refinement (including: reworking the entire Church area, improved attack lines, and giving more access to vertical spaces such as rooftops), additional art, and performance optimization.

Just north of the city of Hue lay the official Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Vietnam, established following the First Indochina War. Following the length of the Ben Hai river from its headwaters to the South China Sea, this natural water barrier enhanced with landmines by both sides found less importance in the war's unconventional nature.

DMZ is a reimagining of the classic RO2 map Mamayev, providing intense action across a landscape blasted by artillery and air attacks.

Returning to the A Sau valley, players will find the last map in this update, Apache Snow. Operation Apache Snow ran from 10 May - 7 June 1969, including the fighting over the infamous Hill 937, in an attempt to maintain pressure on PAVN units in the area. This upcoming map will feature the ARVN forces fighting to clear PAVN off another hill in the A Sau valley and is a re-imagining of the classic RO2 map Winterwald! It isn't quite ready for a reveal just yet, so stay tuned in the coming weeks as we continue to talk more about the upcoming additions and changes for Update 1.3!

As always, thank you for your continued support.
