Paris map goes dim

I'm on the Paris level and it went dim several times while I was playing. When it happens, I can't teleport and I have exit the game in order to play again. The flash light works but it's still dimmer than usual. I thought it was part of the game at first but nothing happens and I can't teleport. Please fix.

I found that this is what happens when you clip through the wall or the ceiling. Maybe you're too tall or your "distance to floor" setting was calibrated improperly, as was my case?
