Killing Floor 2 Steam/EGS 1099 Changelog - https://forums.tripwireinteractive....-floor-2-steam-egs-pc-1099-changelog.2336210/

As we saw recently, Tripwire had announced that KF2 will be getting "Epic Online Services Integration" as part of their Epic Games Store launch (FAQ included) - https://forums.tripwireinteractive....ng-floor-2-epic-online-services-beta.2336149/

Epic Online Services Opt-in Beta Build Info - https://forums.tripwireinteractive....epic-online-services-beta-build-1098.2336167/

Looks like the game will be given away for free for a limited time to have more people have access to KF2 (those who don't own it yet). I wonder if the existing owners will get some kind of cool "veteran" status, emotes or whatever to show their dedication to the franchise and for being a part of it for so long, or maybe I am thinking too much and nothing of that sort will happen. I personally have been playing KF2 since the early access of 2015 and it would be nice to have something to show for it.

Edit - Formatting and more info added

They've already done this in ways though.

EA had the dosh jacket and alienware masks you could have gotten in on if you're interested in a status symbol to show you've been here from the start. There were also the early rewards like the wave 1 horzine armor reward. [not sure if they ever became available again down the line?]

Otherwise, prestige was also added as a way to provide a status symbol for your time investment.

I'm a bit surprised - and happy - to see this direction for KF2 in regards to giving it away. F2P may not be far off if they are doing well enough with their DLC platform [which, when I doubted it ,Yoshiro said I was incorrect to assume it was doing poorly].
