You should not be able to send empty messages in chat.

When you open chat and hit enter, it sends a empty msg.​

Having the ability to select all the text chat, using CTRL-A.

Lots of times I start typing a message and have to send it half completed. It would save lots of confusion if I could clear it easier

Better chat format

Currently chat looks like this...

and this...

In both chats you can remove the "Say" and "TeamSay" but not the ">".
It would be nice if chat looked something like this?

"Say >"
"TeamSay >"

As someone who primarily uses text over voice communication. It's really frustrating when clearing text.​

I cannot test it right now but iirc hitting ESC clears your current chat message. Hitting it twice ends chatting so you don't have to send empty strings.

That mostly works... Hitting ESC closes the chat box. When playing, it may become troublesome to move my hand to the ESC key when in combat (I assume everyone knows enough about binds that I don't need to go into details).

This can would for me, I would still prefer CTRL-A and hitting the chat hotkey.
