Tactics How to be the best Field Medic there is.

In regards to not necessarily needing another bow in the team if you already have a sharpie - another great weapon to support while safely observing/healing teammates is the m79. You never know when a teammate will find themself swarmed by crawlers and one quick shell saves the day.

M79 has got significantly worse now it comes out first (what were they thinking?) shorter range weapons should come out before longer ranged weapons (if a zed is a threat at longer range, you have plenty of time to cycle through guns, if it's at short range than you need to pull out out and fire fast!) and the M79 is one of the longest range guns there is.

Number of times I've blown myself up when trying to pull out a shotgun...

Pipe bombs are fine if you have an extra slot for them and want to use them for FP as medic. Katana provides the advantage of being able to take scrakes if you have a med gun (you can also do the same with a machete as has been said but you don't need to worry about hitting a headshot if you're using the katana).

There's plenty of roles for medic and most can work depending on the team. If you know what you're doing, you can be successful with almost any perk playing a variety of ways.

Here is a link (since youtube embed seems not to want to work right) of how to take out a 6 player HoE fleshpound as medic with a pipebomb.
