Hi there, i like very much the map kf-pd2jwshop, this map its not on steam workshop, can i just modify it and publish on workshop? I can't find the contact of the author, i just know that his nick is vanana. What can i do? I also have a dedicated server.

No, you shouldn't modify a map that isn't yours without the owner's permission and you should definitely not upload it to the workshop without permission.

I would just modify it & post it on the workshop, making certain to ...
- give credit to the original map creator
- state what you actually modified on the map
- state that you are unable to contact the map creator
- state that you will remove the map from the workshop if the map creator objects to it being there
