Chat history

As it is now if I miss what someone wrote in the in-game chat I bring up the console to check. It would be much smoother if you could press the "write chat message key" and see the last 5 messages from that specific chat category. Maybe the tactical view could display this too.

Yeah something like that would be handy. perhaps M could bring up a message log.

Console has chat history
But sure there is other stuff there too, it's not 100% chat messages.

It would be nice if the chat was better displayed in the console =).

one of two options:

1. Scroll in console history (lot of 'spam' in console)

2. the aforementioned chat-only history

Although the current system is good enough in most situations, sometimes it's just a bit too short.

Yep, like in UT2004 where u just had to press F2 to see the chat and what ppl where talkin about while u were fragging them
