Server can i use Windows server 2003's IIS as a redirect?

Currently i have my server setup with a simple website (i dont have a domain name) http://72.94.24.116/ro2/ i can download stuff from it, but i have no idea why it wont work with RO2. im just using a virtual directory for the files right now. what do i have to do to get RO2 to download my map files?

can someone point me in the right direction?

Check the mime types. Include the .upk extension.

i have both but it doesn't work or do i only need todo it for one?.

i wanted to post the ini for my map and the redirect link in the ROgame.ini just incase i messed something up.

Hmm, try putting the redirect files only in their own folder, perhaps?

Also, be aware that the client files are different from the server files. Have you tried the redirect on a custom map that you know works...get the server files and the client files.

ya i only have the client files. ill try with another map.

Not to double post but i solved my problem it seems i put the
[IpDrv.HTTPDownload] in the wrong folder i needed to put in the ROengine.ini

it works perfectly now thanks for your help!

Glad you got it running.

I've had to add specific file extensions to get them to download from an IIS website (zip, pk3, etc.). I'd be curious to know if the redirect would work with out the .upk extension listed.
