BOTS - Again, maybe

Played Japanese side on Iwo Jima tonight. The Japanes Bots ran around like ants after their nest was kicked. Why can't the Bots be programmed to run to the noted "Protect" or "Attack" or "Destroy" points and just hang in there...laying down cover fire rather than running around and getting in front of a real person while they are firing? It would be more realistic than to see them running in circles and into every other Bot.
I like Rising Storm...so far...except for the Bots... it is brutal.
