Level Design Blood Splattermaps

Hoping someone knows which step I am missing with the splatter maps. I am trying to get the splatter maps to show up correctly. Currently they are showing up all over a mesh piece even when no zeds were killed there and the splatter is breaking up where the individual kit pieces were. Its almost as if I didn't combine.

So far I have combined the kit pieces into a mesh (ie a floor), put a blocking volume around it and set it as custom collision, generated new channels (it produced 0, 1, and 2), changed the splatter map res to be consistent, and made sure the object is facing the correct way in the static mesh editor. It still shows up as this though.
