Well, it would be nice to see the weights of the bolts compared too.
The MG-42's bolt is rather light (for a machinegun), now compare it to the chunk of metal that moves on the SVT-40.

Chances are high that the AVT-40 actually would have more recoil, given the weight of the moving parts compared to the weight of the weapon.

Dull bullets deal blunt damage, whereas sharp ones rip through you like a knife.

High recoil wasnt the only main issue that AVT was never in massive production,but the damage it was done to the rifle parts while used in auto mode.

sadly the us made a rifle called the m14 whcih was suppose to be full auto it didn't work out, i coulda guessed this. (though it did turn out quite well still.)

Well if they stick true to their idea of keeping recoil adequate, then the AVT40 won't be fun at all...

I don't get WHY they need to jam another gun in there, the russians were just fine in RO without any full auto rifle.

Wow, people are actually complaining about an extra gun being put in the game, a gun which was present at stalingrad. Amazing.
If it was there instead of another gun, they might have a point, but it is there in addition, so what the hell is the problem?
If you don't like the gun, don't use it in the game. It's not more difficult than that.
Have people nothing better to do than complain?
