hi i'm a 3d max beginner and i'm working on modeling my cpu , so i'm confused about the front view of it, as it contains many holes ,so can i just put the material of it just one piece or i have to model it...(and if i have to texture it, is the best method to put the full image of the front view of my cpu and put it or texture every block as the image shows u it is divided >>>>>>>>>

thanks in advance
and Sorry for my English :)

cpu is the central processing unit, not the case :p, best way I can think of doing it is modeling one of the corners, so a small circle cut out in a plane, then add 8 halved ones diagonally, then use the Array thingo to duplicate them, to find Array if you don't know where it is, it's up the top in Tools > Array. another way would be by setting the pivot to one of the vertexes closest to the edges which are on the opposite side of where you intend to duplicate from ( I wrote this terribly I know, sorry), press S for snapping, hold shift on the object and hold **** and drag in the direction you want to duplicate and snap the object to a vertex on the side of the object which you're duplicating to, then it should have a box asking if you want it to be a copy, reference or instance, if you intend to edit it later, I'd probably recommend instance, if not just select object, then it should say how many you want to duplicate, put in what ever you think will work, ofcourse Array would be better there considering it has a preview button.
