It shouldn't be more expensive than the price of a cup of coffee.
While DLC sharing strategically offsets the need to purchase weapon DLC for some players, the stochasticity of the system and high price-of-entry ($10 is 2~4 cups of coffee) lowers the diffusion rate of new weapons into the...
Don't quite care about the Winterbite and Rhino. But I did miss using the 1911 and Deagle on Sharpshooter, the Magnum is great but it was never my 2ndary of choice in KF1.
If the current mechanics is that the damage reduction only activates when ADS... Would it be possible to keep it somewhat activated at all times?
It just seems that if you are holding a riot shield in your left arm, some part of your left side should be protected against damage even when ADS is...
There was some discussion about SWAT's utility outside of their current skills and weapon set, since the SWAT have been beginning to gain an identity, I would like to continue exploring this option.
Suppose that the SWAT also has a unique grenade option at the trader which provides 2 flares (up...
I'm no expert on SWATs irl, but I'm sure there is a reason why riot shields are most commonly paired with a pistol of sorts. Suffice to say holding an SMG with one hand probably is not a great idea which presumably has a lot to do with the SMG's weight and fire-rate: the trade off might be...
Clot booty 3D mousepad when? :sneaky:
Also, I like the idea of merchandise to fund game development since buyers get something tangible in return. I think that ya'll should consider KF Perk emblem shirt designs as well.
Aleflippy Frankly, I don't think Perks should be designed around Solo-mode at all.
I suspect trying to cram all the perks into a solo-able mold is why perk have tended towards Jack-of-all-trades in KF2 (because they all have to perform well in solo)-- the interdependency of perks becomes very...
Yes, thank you Aleflippy :)
It's conceptually straightforward (if you don't overcomplicate it) and meant to be utilized as either crowd control or a tool for area-denial.
The reason why it is a SWAT and Support weapon is this:
I hate that the Survivalist (and Medic) became the go-to weapon...
To keep things simple, it's easier to use linear electrical "arcs" such that at least 4 probes are required for an electrical "field" (more like a "web", see below).
This would require nothing more than the infrastructure proposed in my previous post.
Why complicate things when the probes can work on the classic hit-scan mechanism.
Pseudo-code example:
1. Probe 1 and probe 2 are fired.
2. Player activates probes, probe 1 and 2 apply hit-scan on each other:
Case 1: Probe 1 and 2 have direct line of sight (LOS) AND (distance < max_dist)...
The Bug-Zedper
"That name? Horrible. I am shocked. SHOCKED... Well, not that shocked."
Launch probes that attaches itself to a surface or a Zed, hit alt-fire to activate probes, creating an electrical line among them, great for trapping those pesky crawlers (and larger not-crawlers)...
I am inclined to agree that KF3 seems to require some consideration if KF2's economy is reaching equilibrium with the development cost, but of course that comes with its own set of costs and expectations and it's understandable why a financial decision had to be made.
Something else that could...
It will also be advisable, so that Provoke does not break the Zed AI, that the Provoke mechanics have cooldowns
i) On the Zeds, such that a Zed that has been provoked in the last X seconds cannot be re-aggro'd, and
ii) Berserkers that used Provoke has a Y second cooldown
I like the ammo drop idea, perhaps the SWAT can perform call downs of emergency ammo drops by holding F (or use), which also spends his Dosh.
The revive mechanic is also pretty interesting if you can revive by holding F on a team mate, but instead of a Medic exclusive skill, maybe Medics revive...
Agreed. I was thinking something like Commando being able to ping say up to 5 enemies/objects at a time (+1 per 5 levels from level 10 to 25) as opposed to 1. And of course, Commandos would be the only Perk that can ping invisible units.
While I do think the 'R' animation under Berserker's melee weapons is all sorts of charming, I cannot help but feel like it is a missed opportunity, especially on the Bone Masher: pressing R on the Bone Masher while there is no blood causes the Berserker to tap the shield twice.
Now when the...
