The correct way to deal with the "misnomer" would be to write in to the author I guess and ask for the sources. Rather than discounting a professional author out of hand. It might turn out that we, rather than the author, are wrong. Stranger things have happened. I only have two of that series...

How about the 66mm AT launcer LAW (light anti tank weapon). I believe both the Americans and Aussies used em for bunker busting.

I know the Aussies had MAG58s in the borneo conflict before vietnam and still heavily use them today in unison with the minimi (60s are rare now iirc). The Bren was also in the arsenal but prolly just used by reserves. Also the 66mm LAW?

I remember their was a mod for one of the ARMA games that had a singleplayer campaign Pretty sure the old vietcong2 had one as well. There are certainly plenty of RTS style vietnam games with campaigns. Other than that you may have to make one yourself.

I think the swap is good. It prevents people hogging one side. I doubt many would play Vietnamese if they had the opportunity. I think the op would be better off with a single player campaign where he can role played better.
