Can you set your aspect ratio to 'All' and check whether it shows up in the resolution dropdown?
'All' removes all filters and gives you the full list of supported resolutions.
Thanks for noticing. It is using screen space reflections (http://casual-effects.blogspot.com/2014/08/screen-space-ray-tracing.html) with some customization.
Make sure you assign valid references to TunicMesh and FieldgearMesh if you're creating a custom pawn subclass.
Also, the bone hierarchies for the TunicMesh and the FieldgearMesh must match - same skeleton, bone count, etc.
Try adjusting your gamma instead of your brightness. Default gamma is 2.2, try 2.5 for darker maps.
The way you do this is open the console by using the '~' key and type in "gamma 2.5". You can go back to gamma 2.2 for brighter maps.
What is the resolution of your TV and of your monitor?
If you don't mind adjusting your settings again, you can delete your ROEngine.ini file in your Documents\MyGames\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config folder anytime you move back and forth between your displays. That way the game will autodetect and...
One of the design decisions that factored in when applying the settings is that - Foliage would not be gameplay affecting. In other words, grass should not be made high enough that it can be used for cover. I don't know if that still holds (specially for custom maps), but that's the reason...
Run the RO2Redist.exe in the following dir: Steam\steamapps\common\Red Orchestra 2\Binaries\Windows
You can also just run the Punkbuster installer that is in the same dir called pbsvc_hos.exe
Just to clarify. Right now, SoundQuality has no effect on voices. After the patch, SoundQuality = High will have all voice variations and SoundQuality = Low will have a single voice variation.
I found an issue where if they system initially assigns SingleVoiceVariation=True, there is no way to set it to False in the menus. The only way to change it is to edit the INI manually. I changed it so that SingleVoiceVariation functionality is now tied to your Sound Quality in the Audio...
SingleVoiceVariation is set to True for Lowest and Low settings. This is done to mainly reduce the memory footprint for these settings by having only one set of voices loaded. If you know you have sufficient memory (>3GB and Win64), by all means turn that setting to False.
That is just the EULA, which is same for everyone. During installation, the installer will figure out that you are using an Intel machine and not install the AMD CPU drivers.
It shouldn't try to install the AMD CPU drivers. Are you running Win XP? Can you attach a screenshot of when it prompts you for the AMD CPU drivers?
Very little difference, but you should install the RO2Redist.
You're welcome. Improved performance was a big push for this update, and we're all happy that it worked out the way it did (for most you you at least) :)
