I had a similar problem with static meshes on a ut2004 map I was porting for KF. The texture of the static mesh would a appear black the closer I stood to it but when I moved away it appeared normal. I fixed it by changing the texture because I think it was using an overlay that was making it...
I reset pivot, which did nothing. I also pressing the build brush a lot of times and it still persisted. The strange thing is if I add or subtract brushes the bsp appears fine and aligned, but on the wire mesh view of the added or subtracted bsp it shows up wonkey like the brush :confused:
This is still happening, I tried the suggestions above and they worked...for a while. Whenever I create another brush or resize a brush they just go all wonky again.
I decided to start work on one of my maps again, however when I create a new brush the red skeleton of the brush is slightly out of alignment but when I add or subtract it is perfectly normal.
It's just making it incredibly hard to place brushes.
Bill Oddie would be a nice addition
I had to put a smile on his face since he is very depressed at the moment however that could add to the whole killing floor atmosphere!
